We are looking for an experienced Cheminformatics Consultant with a Product Management and Scientific Informatics background.  Someone that can understand industry challenges and build strong scientific relationships and shape our Cheminformatics Solutions to take them to market, working in collaboration with our global Cheminformatics, Cloud and Data Science teams.

Our customers are accelerating their Scientific Informatics and Digital Transformation to accelerate the discovery and manufacture of new Therapeutics, Drugs and Vaccines to save lives Faster! Consequently, we are rapidly growing and looking to expand our Cheminformatics team and Services in Europe.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Global Team to engage leading Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies to deploy and support cutting-edge Cheminformatics Solutions and Technology globally. By leading solution deployments for your customers, you engage, consult, design, and implement global Cheminformatics Solutions that establish industry-leading Cheminformatics practices that are robust and scalable.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic consulting, customer engagement, and commercial development
  • Understand current and emergent Cheminformatics problems, needs, requirements analysis, and design
  • Engage the market to develop, commercialize, and expand our cheminformatics services taking input from customers, literature, and conferences
  • Deliver timely, scalable cheminformatics solutions
  • Research, assess, recommend, and integrate Cheminformatics Technology platforms
  • Help customers estimate, plan and prioritize Cheminformatics Technology implementation
  • Act as a mentor & leader for cheminformatics project delivery providing guidance, support, and oversight
  • Nurture long-term relationships with customers, internal teams, vendors, partners, and third parties
  • Be hands-on involved in critical cheminformatics program delivery

Ideally, you’ll have the following skills: 

  • Deep understanding of small molecule discovery and the pharma industry.
  • A solid technical understanding of cheminformatics, molecule & reaction data types and related technologies like ChemAxon, Biovia and RDKit.
  • Product Management / Owner or Field Application Scientist background working within a cheminformatics/software vendor
  • Experience designing and deploying enterprise cheminformatics solutions.
  • Higher Degree in Cheminformatics, chemistry, or other related fields.
  • Ability to script/program at expert level in at least one of the following languages – Python, Ruby, Perl, PHP, Java, J2EE, SQL or similar language
  • Experience with Cloud Computing and analytics platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
  • Experience with commonly used supporting Containerization and API management technology solutions
  • Proactive, self-starting entrepreneurial approach with an ability to make things happen collaboratively

In addition to the technical skills, you’ll also need to bring the following skills: 

  • Curiosity to learn and a passion to enable digital evolution in Cheminformatics.
  • A passion for ensuring customers have an amazing experience interacting with Zifo. 
  • Able to synthesize and relay complex information in simple terms to internal, partner and customer stakeholders with different levels of scientific and technical knowledge. 
  • Confident and effective in communicating across teams, management tiers and with customers both in writing and verbally
